ELENA PAPUSHINA

Elena Papushina, 1969 

Elena was born and lives in Moscow.

Graduated from Art school named after V. Serov (1984) and the Industrial Graphic department of the Moscow Academic Art College (1989). Studied computer animation at “Tema” Studio (1995). Completed a year-long photojournalism course at the Izvestia School of Journalism (2002/3).

Elena worked as an illustrator for magazine “Domashij ochag” - a monthly magazine with a circulation of 280 thousand copies.

Elena collaborated with the magazine “Gastronom” (culinary magazine with a circulation of 180 thousand copies). It has been published since 2001 by the Swedish-Danish company "Bonnier Publications". 

For the” Izoizdat” publishing house, she designed postcards with a circulation of 30,000 copies.  

Elena has repeatedly participated in the group exhibitions of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, held in Moscow.  She also repeatedly volunteered as a kids' art exhibitions organizer for the Podari Zhizn' foundation. (Foundation for helping children with oncological and hematological diseases)

Elena currently works in acrylic painting techniques. In her work Elena explores the spheres of humor, self-identification, memory, family history.
